So, I threw that AA battery operated ball of a makeup brush cleaner RIGHT IN THE GARBAGE after my first time using this cleaner. I have several makeup brushes of all different sizes, ranging from small pencil sized handles to super large 3/4 inch thick handles. My old brush cleaner did not fit my large brushes, making it such a pain to clean them. In my photo, you can see the webbed lids. These are made from a firm, rubber like material that has some stretch to it, making it so you can fit ANY SIZED brushes into this unit. The large round side is for washing and the smaller, half moon side is for drying. This cleaner is also much more powerful and effective than that older style, battery operated cleaner. the base has a little impeller at the bottom (kind of like a washing machine) that turns the water, actually cleaning your brushes properly and not just turning the water in a circle like the old units do. Cleaning of this unit is also super easy as the web lids pop right off, base comes right apart and the unit can be cleaned and put right back together again.

I purchased 2 others before this one, and I finally hit it right. The first one was rechargeable, which meant I had to wait to use it, and then the motor blew because it didn’t automatically shut off. The second one was electric, but the unit was too small. This machine is perfect for my needs. Its powerful motor really cleans my brushes well. I don’t need to recharge it like my previous one, just plug it in and go! When done, it automatically shuts off. The dryer is also an added feature that most brush cleaner machines don’t have. The unit is attractive, a good size, and looks nice on the bathroom counter. It is a bit noisy, but I just close my bathroom door and it’s fine. I definitely recommend this product!
